This page explains how billing works for Boxfit, the Shopify app that picks the box or mailer that fits each order and writes the total package weight for fulfillment. Today, Boxfit's charges are handled through Shopify, and there is no separate service to sign up for.
How Boxfit charges
All Boxfit charges go through Shopify. There are two parts:
- Subscription - your plan is a recurring charge handled by Shopify Managed Pricing. You pick a plan during install (or change it any time from your Shopify admin), and it appears on your regular Shopify app bill.
- Per-order overage - on paid plans, orders packed beyond your plan's monthly included amount are billed at a small per-order rate through Shopify's usage billing. This is metered by Shopify, on the same bill.
You don't enter payment details into Boxfit, and the charges described above are handled by Shopify, which you can review and manage from your Shopify admin.
Plans
Boxfit offers a free plan plus paid plans that scale with your monthly order volume. Each plan includes a monthly order allowance:
- Free - up to 20 orders packed per month. Packing pauses for the rest of the month once the allowance is reached, and resumes the next cycle.
- Starter - up to 500 orders included per month.
- Growth - up to 2,000 orders included per month.
- Scale - unlimited orders.
On the paid plans, orders beyond the included amount keep packing and are billed at $0.05 per order through Shopify's usage billing. Billing is counted per order, not per rate quote, so your cost does not balloon with cart size, and Boxfit works on every Shopify plan.
Current monthly prices for each plan are shown on the Boxfit Shopify App Store listing and when you choose a plan in your Shopify admin.
No external service to register for
Boxfit does not require you to register for or pay for any separate, external service. The only charges today are the Shopify subscription and per-order overage described above.
Future features
As Boxfit grows, we may add new features, including shipping-related ones. Some future features may involve additional charges. Pricing and billing details for any such feature will be shared when it launches.
